Chair Fly ("the app," "we," "us") is an instrument cross-check trainer built by an independent developer. This page explains what information Chair Fly collects (very little), how the subscription works, and how the email addresses collected on this website are handled. Information Collected By The App
Chair Fly is built to run entirely on your iPad, with no account and no server behind it. Specifically:
- Chair Fly does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use it.
- Chair Fly does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information from your device.
- The app reads your iPad's built-in motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope, via Apple's CoreMotion framework) to power the tilt-based flight controls. This data is processed in real time, entirely on your device, purely to run the simulation — it is never transmitted anywhere and never stored.
- Chair Fly does not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or any third-party tracking software.
- Chair Fly does not access your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or any other personal data category.
Subscription
Chair Fly offers one optional auto-renewing subscription — Glass Cockpit Monthly ($6.99/month) — handled entirely through Apple's own In-App Purchase system.
- All payment details are collected and processed by Apple, not by us.
- We never see, receive, or store your payment information, billing address, or full name.
- Apple may associate the purchase with your Apple ID for their own records; that is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Apple ID account settings.

- If you enter your email address on this website to be notified at launch, we store it for that single purpose: to send you a one-time announcement when Chair Fly is available.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with any third party.
- We will not send you ongoing marketing emails beyond that launch notice.
- You can ask us to delete your email at any time by writing to info@chairflytrainer.com.
Children's Privacy
Chair Fly is intended for pilots and student pilots, not for children, and is not directed at anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it promptly.
Data Retention
Because Chair Fly does not collect data through the app itself, there is nothing generated by app usage for us to retain. Email addresses submitted through this website are kept only until the launch announcement is sent, or until you ask us to remove them sooner.

As Chair Fly develops, this policy may be updated to reflect new features. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date above.
